Okay, I'm mainly here to post Uresia wallpapers, but recently I've also been posting anaglyphs. Inevitably, the two collide.
But they collide very gently! You have to squint and look really close to see the red-cyan distortion in this wallpaper, but it's there. Put on a pair of standard Red-Cyan 3-D glasses (red left eye) and the effect becomes immediately apparent.
I built this by returning to the master file for the Caravel wallpaper, which I archived at its full resolution with layers intact. All I had to do was nudge the three upper "sheets" by a few pixels each to create a right-eye variant to composite with the left-eye original ... and voila. A 3-D image that you'd swear wasn't, until the glasses go on.
[Same credits and technique as the non-3D version ... Soubrette sketch by Chun via commission, the rest by Yours Truly using flair marker, Photoshop, and fonts (many of the fonts also by Yours Truly)]
Just remember to drop back in if you run across any 3-D specs ... Usually, at least once per year, either a TV show will do a 3D episode (in which case free 3D glasses end up laying around movie theaters or tucked into magazines) or a comic book or magazine does a 3D issue ... So eventually, those things do drift around.

It's really kind of bizarre how little separation an image really needs ... I did versions of this where I nudged the layerrs by large amounts, and they looked cavernous, like the bottom and top maps were three feet distant, just really eye-bending.
Just a dab'll do ya, as it turns out ...

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
